Aqueous H2SO4: Electromotic Force Measurements (EMFs)

The experimental data are listed in the tables below. Notes at the end of each one define the tabulated quantities, and identify the sources of the measurements.

Measurements have been made using the following electrochemical cells:

See Clegg et al. (S. L. Clegg, J. A. Rard, and K. S. Pitzer (1994) J. Chem. Soc., Faraday Trans. 90, 1875-1894) for details, including values of the standard EMFs for the cells. Equations relating solvent and solute activities to the measured EMF (E) and standard EMF (Eo) for each cell are given in the notes to the tables below.
